DÉTAILS DE LA CLAUSE: En vigueur de 2026-27 à 2027-28: Clause de non-échange (NTC) | En vigueur de 2028-29 à 2031-32: Le joueur soumet une liste de 16 équipes où il refuse d'être échangé.
Insane overpay. I think Hagel compliments stars well, but that doesn't mean you pay him like a good 2nd liner. He should've gotten a slightly better version of the Bunting deal imo.
I think that would have had UFA expiry though, so re-signing him afterwards would have been way more expensive and we’d risk losing him.
Yeah, but I'd rather lose Hagel after two years for nothing than overpay an additional 6 years. But I may be wrong. I just think he may be completely replaceable for cheaper.
Love this deal for Hagel and the TBL. Extremely underrated player. His 2-way game is amazing. Could you squeeze his expiry RFA year, SURE. But you risk so much more in the long run. Lock him up. It's not like TBL has any decent prospect coming up.
The cap must be going up in leaps and bounds over the next decade because holy smokes that's an expensive third liner
Hagel is not a third liner. He spent most of the year on the top line and in the playoffs his line was our best line, whether you call it a 2nd line or not. He had 30 goals and 64 points last year.
The deal makes sense given Tampa's current roster sheet and the speculation on the cap increasing over the next couple of years. If he has another 30 goal, 60 point campaign again next year he's probably looking at a short deal to UFA and then the chance of losing him for Tampa increases. Sticker shock is a little high but feel that over the course of the deal he'd more or less be worth this AAV. Solid deal for a team that is willing to give out term to players they like

Hagel was producing on a ****ty hawks team on like line 2 where all our offensive power stopped (minus him of course)
why does Hagel have to be the one to reset the market lmao
what logical comparable is there for this deal.
Are you kidding me? Can you imagine how pissed off Nylander is right now? He's asking for $4M more...per year... 11 Even Strength Points, an older player, and FAR FAR less defense.
It's like the Nichushkin deal my Avs made. In other words, it's pretty much the going rate for the second tier level winger. Obviously everyone except Hagel would have liked to see less, but no real issues with it from my perspective.
I think there's a bit of over reacting to this, maybe because it came out of nowhere.
I think it's a good contract for player and team.
I just don't know where the Bolts are going to get the cap space, especially since there's no Seabrook after this year...
