Good pickup for Pittsburgh. A top 6 winger on a reasonable contract that doesn't run past his 35th birthday.

Great pickup for Pittsburgh. Smith may not have the best contract but he is worth more than a 3rd rounder.

If you're evaluating this transaction purely as an exchange of pieces, what Pittsburgh got is obviously the more valuable of the two.

But some pieces had to leave Vegas for the cap to work, so in this case, the space they made has value too. We'll see what they use it for.

Best trade of Dubas career.
