Finland could’ve had a 1st overall pick this year and last year if Lambert and Raty didn’t just stop producing like they used to. 1 year before the draft Raty was ranked 1st and Lambert 2nd I think.

They’ll have theirs in that franchise dman in the 2024 draft class.

I think it's averaging talent vs where they picked in the draft. So if a team like Toronto picked late but got high value players at there position they are ranked higher. The model probably loves Isaac Howard for the Tampa pick. Guess Toronto must have picked best available at there selections...it all depends on the models rankings pretty much

Kaapo Kakko came pretty close, so did Laine to a lesser extent.

Forgot about Kakko lol, thought about Laine, but Matthews was pretty much the consensus number 1.

Nemec shouldn’t and wont play
Cooley shouldn’t but he will play
Wright should and he will play
Gauthier shouldn’t and won’t play

I’d rather see Slafkovsky dominate in liiga (or the AHL) before giving him a spot in the NHL. Wright I’m not sure. I’d give him a 9 game look and go from there

If Montreal is smart they’ll keep him in Liiga or keep him in AHL (to get used to NA). But I have a feeling they’ll let him play since he played against men in Olympics/Finland

My money is on Ottawa signing Giroux and trading for a top 4D , one of Weegar, Carlo, Marino, Chychrun . The last 2 most likely
