Ottawas two second round picks
Makes no sense to take Luke Hughes when we have Chabot, Sanderson, Brannstrom as the left side

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>I feel like it was a case of unfair expectations. I think they got excited when he was NHL ready at 19, and kind of assigned some unrealistic expectations for what he <em>should</em> be by 22. 22 is still so young for a Dman, a good chunk of Dmen are still getting their feet wet in the NHL. Hell he's only a year and a half older than Romanov.
I don't know how much of a long term future Mete will end up having in Ottawa, but right now he's playing well, and i think it will be good for Brannstrom to have someone who can push him to be better.</div></div>
I think Montreal don’t try and develop players the way other teams do. I don’t know if the expectation of always winning and they’ve never rebuilt, I don’t think Kotkaniemi and Mete were developed enough and properly

Yeah those guys are also blocking Fleury and Brook and eventually Harris, Norlinder and others

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>Thomson plays well, but his biggest problem is that he's in his own head a bit. He makes a mistake and he beats himself up over it, which leads to him making more mistakes. He has some consistency concerns too, but that mental hurdle is by far the most pressing issue. He'll likely be another year or two in Belleville.
Also I feel like he's the forgotten Sens prospect, but Ridly Greig has been on a rampage in the WHL. 8 goals, 17 assists for 25 points in just 16 games. That's a 34 goal, 106 point pace on a full 68 game season. And keep in mind he also spend 4 games with Belleville and was far and away the best player on that team as an 18 year old. I think that there might be a lot more top 6 upside there than I initially gave him credit for. If Stützle works out as a C, I think Greig could definitely have a future as a really annoying top six grinding winger.</div></div>
I totally agree. Also DJ Smith is probably salivating about Pinto and Formenton and soon enough Greig and Sokolov. They’re coaches dreams. Did DJ say anything post game about Pinto?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>It's crazy that we could go from arguably the worst blueline since I started watching to the best we've had in over a decade so quickly.
This team has been a completely different animal with Brannstrom and Mete, and only Zaitsev and Brown dragging things down. It seems like DJ is slowly coming around on Brannstrom, and he's looked really good of late. He's even getting trusted with PK time. Mete is quickly becoming one of my favorite players to watch on the entire team. The Sens might have a player there.</div></div>
Abramov and Sokolov look great in Belleville. Now, if Thomson can get going too

Take 2 of What I might pay for a Winnipeg Jets version of Patrik Laine
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sensonfire</b></div><div>I don't want to trade Norris either.
I'm just trying to figure out the least amount of trade value that Columbus would accept for Laine.
In other words, what a fair trade for a Winnipeg Jets version of Laine would look like.
The point of this is to have fun and not get too upset about this.
We are ACGMs for a reason.
:)</div></div>
It would take Norris which Ottawa wouldn’t do.

There’s legit no centres to trade for with that. Eichel would cost way way more

Josh Norris would be so lethal if he bulked up too. I think Norris, Stutzle, Batherson, Tkachuk will all be at least 50pt scorers. Chabot too.

I agree but only at 4 mill or less. I proposed a deal where Patrick and JVR retained for Kerfoot + prospect + pick. But a 3rd team would have to retain on JVR cuz I don’t think Philly would

If they’re set on stutzle as the 1C and berniers isn’t available when the sens pick, I’d probably take guenther</div></div>
I think Kent Johnson is going to be a RW at the NHL level, a crafty winger , similar to Lucas Raymond or Mitch Marner

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Isles777</b></div><div>Wait is Ottawa actually planning for stutzle to be a C in the future?</div></div>
That’s what I keep hearing but he does have flaws in the defensive end and he doesn’t have faceoff experience. I’d prefer him as a LW but the organization might be set with him at centre. But they said before the year that he’d get a few reps at centre this year , which hasn’t happened. So maybe they changed their minds

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Isles777</b></div><div>Yeah Ive seen a few of his games and he looks similar to barzal in transition. I like eklund, really has no weaknesses IMO, but I think he’ll be a winger in the nhl. I think guenther has more defensive awareness than Connor, but they’re both elite goal scorers</div></div>
I was thinking:
Tkachuk-Norris-Guenther
XXX-Stutzle-Batherson
Maybe Formenton or Greig play there. Or even trade for a winger cuz wingers are easy to trade for

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>yeah but Ottawa is full of centers so who cares. What they need are strong wings and Dman</div></div>
I don’t think we need a Dman unless he’s Colton Parayko , a RHD and can play defence next to Chabot. But JBD might be exactly that.
So I think we need 2 more top 6 forwards with 1st line potential. 1 centre and 1 wing
