Doesn’t ZAR not have a contract yet? Also he explicitly mentioned that ZAR and Robertson are 0.2 and 0.0, which is a 1 win upgrade if they replace Simmonds and Gaudette. He took the lines from capfriendly I’m pretty sure and just used those. He actually might’ve accounted for that anyway, I think like Sandin’s projection is in there too (cuz he does GP and TOI projections).

Also the President’s Trophy thing is a myth. Since it was created, the President’s Trophy winner has won the cup 8/35 times. 23% is pretty good.

Faceoffs do matter especially if he's going to be playing Center, it's one of the biggest reasons Chicago traded Dach and Wright will follow the exact same path if they try and rush him.

Faceoffs rarely affect the outcome of the game. Plenty of great top 6 centers have terrible FOW%. Chicago's decision making has been terrible for years, they shouldn't be used to try to prove a point,

Dach had a 29 NHLE in his draft year, Wright had a 37 NHLE. The issue with rushing Dach was he didn't dominate a league before he came into the NHL, Wright did. There's enough evidence that Wright is ready for the NHL. Players who profile like him usually go on to become top line forwards

What league did Wright dominate, though? He played a 7-team quasi-league, was under 1.0 ppg in close games and on road, and wasn’t even top scorer on his team.

IMO, Dach was over-drafted for his size. Wright was pegged too high early on because of ‘exceptional status’ exemption. Wright should be playing pro hockey…but hard to make a case he is ready for NHL. It’s just a shame the rules disallow him from playing AHL for a year.

The 2021 Draft class was disrespected. Class is kinda sick imo.
