Not too bad IMO</div></div>
I dunno, I'm not convinced with Rust. I'd rather they do a short term deal. Not like they'll be competitive during those 6 years anyways

At the end of the contract. He's still a positive asset for Edmonton, but let's see how negative he is next year.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ColonelX</b></div><div>Yeah pretty tough stats considering he's still shooting a lot through these 30 games, he's carrying a 3.8% shot percentage in that time span. At the end of the day he still had a goal in the only game that mattered so some might not like what they've gotten on the stretch but the fact that he was there at the right time might put a band aid on the rest. Now he's got two more years at 4.25 millions so let's see if he picks it up at some point.</div></div>
It will end up being a good trade for both teams I think. You have to take into context that Montreal isn't competing right now and doesn't need him. Even if he is a good middle 6 winger, doesn't help us right now.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>Just saw that homer Jets fan say the Guentzel for Scheifele does nothing for Winnipeg and that they decline.</div></div>
I'd partially agree here. While Guentzel does have more value than Schiefele, if the Jets were to trade Scheifele, it would mean they are rebuilding.
Same goes for Pittsburgh, if you're trading Guentzel it's because you are rebuilding.
The trade doesn't really work for either team. Winnipeg can't fill the hole left by Scheifele, and Pittsburgh can't fill the hole left by Guentzel

Guess each player has different preference. I think Florida or Tampa is really the best place to play if that's all you want to do. If you want to build a brand, Toronto, Montreal, or NY Rangers is where I'd go.
