We'll see. I think Werenski is really good Gavrikov isn't bad. I have pretty highish hopes for Boqvist. Peeke is serviceable. I'd Say Gubranson is good just overpaid, mostly in term. 1 x 3 is more fair to me. I honestly think their average. Their goaltending has had its ups and downs.

I don’t think Columbus D is that bad. This year will be okay, just need Elvis to bounce back. Next year will be great once Tarasov and Jiricek likely play

Exactly - and it’s not like he was showing signs of breaking out. He went from one of the worst forwards in the league to putting up 1C results. If he had 2 years of solid underlying numbers I wouldn’t have cared about giving him the contract but this really was his 1st good year. I would have no problem giving Troy terry the same contract because he was showing signs of breaking out, it was easy to predict

There’s a possible chance Norris edges Debrincat in goals this year. We’ll see . I’d say it’s 50/50 . They’re both really good at getting to spots where they can get the puck and shoot

Depends how they set up the PP. Last year’s PP was just pass the puck to Norris and watch him laser it into the net lol. This year DeBrincat will provide another high-end sniping option on the other wing so Norris’s PP scoring rate might drop (although hopefully the PP as a whole is more lethal). I also think DeBrincat’s even strength scoring rate is better, especially with two high-end skill players (Stutzle is primed to truly break out and Giroux has been an elite playmaker for over a decade).

I think Norris will collect more PP goals but Cat will outpace him overall.

I’m going to bet while Norris is a clear shooting threat - presuming if they both share PP1 time (Timmy, G, Cat, Norris, Chabot) (Timmy, Brady, Cat, Norris, Chabot) whatever it is; that Cat will be drawing tons of attention and even more so, if it’s Timmy Giroux Norris and Cat, I think Norris will get lost. Giroux is elite, Timmy has been drawing tons of attention due to his skill and some teams finding he “dives” so there are games where he just draws bodies, and Cat is well Cat. I think once again; Norris like last year will using his positioning and good shooting to get lost and find good angles. Obviously this is just speculation but I think teams will underestimate him again while focusing on the more alluring names.
