Two year deal would make him a UFA.

the market for JP might save Holland from himself. Puljujarvi is due for some positive regression and it could lead to Holland realizing how important JP is to the oilers.

I've been operating on Puljujarvi and Yamamoto coming in at a combined $5.85M for my recent AGMs: looks like I was a touch shy but it is very, very doable if Yamamoto comes in at under $3.5M.



By many accounts, there was a lot of internal pressure to not move him. I hope that remains true and that Jesse really does have a positive breakout season next year. However, signing him to a one-year deal makes it so much more important they lock Bouchard down to a long-term deal much sooner than later.

If Bouchard gets to take over PP1, he’ll hit 70 pts next season. Holland should be offering him 7.5 mill x 6-7 years sooner than later
