Kurtis MacDermid a signé un contrat de 2 ans d'une valeur de 1 975 000 $ avec les Avalanche du Colorado, le 5 avr. 2022. Le contrat comporte un cap hit de 987 500 $.
He's a fringe player that has over 10 times more penalty minutes than points over his entire NHL career. I would have given him league minimum tbh, but at least the contract is still buriable.

He is also the best fighter in the league and brings a presence Colorado has desperately needed for years.
Calling him a 6D is optimistic. This guy plays like like 7 mins a night and is a replacement level player. Seems to be a good dude and popular in the locker room, but giving him more than league minimum is an odd move. At least it can be fully buried.

He's getting paid to hit and fight.

Look at Ryan Reaves and Matt Martin. They aren't getting paid to score goals either.
