I'd throw concussion-era Crosby in there. The first year (10-11) he was on pace for 132 points at the time of injury (41 GP). The following season he was on pace for 138 points (22 GP). In the lockout shortened 12-13 season he was on pace for 128 points (36 GP). I still think it's sad how we were robbed of quite possibly 3 of the top 5 seasons of the salary cap era, and the prime of a top 5 player of all time, he was utterly dominant and there was really no reason to expect him to slow down. 14-15 Price is also one of the greatest single season performances by any player (could even count those whole years, because Price won a gold medal in early 2014 and then went on that run to the ECF in 2014).

Crosby has got shafted with his injury luck, that's for sure. And that Price year was absolutely fire too. Easily the best single season goalie performance during this century.

Assuming you refer to Toews from NYI, he was dealt as a good second pair D and Buchenvich respectively as a good second line winger. Both just started to flourish in a new environment even more.

Toews was just as good on the isles as he is on the Avs, the only difference is the Avs forwards capitalize on the scoring chances he creates. When Toews was traded he already had a top pair impact

Extremely possible, but imo, he could be a great power forward. A player like Anderson minus the speed, plus better scoring, better passing, and better defense. In the right situation he can get 20 goals, he still has that potential, and I think Habs should wait atleast till the end of the year, to see if his value can rise. Because I wouldn't want to trade him for a 6th. Wait for the value to improve, then trade.
