With a goal and an assist today for Niemelä, brings the 19-year-old defenceman to 16 points in 18 games in Finland's top tier.

With Amirov and Robertson both injured, is there a more exciting Leafs prospect to watch right now than Topi? Not sure of his timeline to the Leafs, but can’t fukcin wait till he suits up.

Personally I think the leafs should trade Robertson for an upgrade somewhere (maybe on top6 W or some depth, both with term) - I’m super high on Amirov so I think they should put more stock into him and move on from Nic.

It’s unfortunate the run of bad luck Nick has had with injuries. And Amirov as well, he is still currently injured, I was really hoping to see Nick get a full year in the AHL, hopefully dominate, then get called up for a playoff run. I honestly just don’t see how the add to this roster. I don’t see teams lining up for Kerfoot/Holl/Mikheyev(maybe). Salary needs to go out.
As far as trading Robertson, feel like that should be a no go. Leafs need to start having guys on ELC coming in a making a difference. Can’t keep adding garbage bin FA’s who end up getting claimed anyways it seems. I wouldn’t trade Nick IMO

isles played a great game against the preds and deserved to win , but Trotz put Chara out for a Dzone draw which he had 2 turnovers on, then lost his stick and the preds scored right after. It’s in the isles best interest to fire Chara into the sun, and then get rid of Trotz

Don’t get rid of Trotz, but Chara HAS to go, he’s been absolutely dreadful

Trotz is the guy playing him close to 20 min a night, his loyalty to vets is killing the team. The isles win in spite of Trotz.

I'm not totally against the idea of moving him, but it might be tough to find a trade that makes sense.

Marlies have a few guys who can play 4c should we decide to upgrade their AHL deals, Antti Suomela being one of them. Cause really the 4th line is Spezza taking 90% of the faceoffs so you just need a body in that position.

The Eichel trade rumors reminds me alot of the Deshaun Watson and Ben Simmons trade situation

Apparently a trade almost happened with him involving Detroit last year but Bertuzzi got hurt and the trade fell through. Add to the anti vax drama kind of dodged a bullet there as hes not allowed to play in Canada and were a Canadian team lul.

If there is an upgrade to be had 100% look into trading him but be careful as ELC's can be good to.

Has Suomela even played a game yet this year? I thought he was injured 🤷‍♂️But ya he could also be an option. Just feel like they should address the C position with Amadio and Brooks now gone.

Remember the rumoured deals teams were offering to try and get a trade to happen and then the year after that when he underperformed and insiders were going hes getting traded and nothing happened.

He was a Canes pick and got traded for a 7th to CBJ ( probably was never going to sign there ). He lighted up Swiss leagues for a while

At this point when someone says Eichel is getting moved, they’re trying to see who still believes them. I’ll believe when I see it has been done

Topi could honestly be a candidate should he come to North America next season to make the team out of camp like Hoglander was for Vancouver. The fact he is playing on the top pair in Karpat and is doing well in the role at both ends makes him look like such a steal rn.

Cant wait to see him in the WJC this year.
