My guess it was either Kulak, Chairot or Dermott. Montreal has defenseman to spare and Dermott was scratched the night before.

It definitely wasn’t Chiarot, and I’m not sure it would be Kulak. Although if this is Montréal it sounds like he was probably going to overpay for Mete.

If it was a Montreal defenceman it would be Mete or maybe someone like Ouellet, other option would be Dermott

Travis Konecny is being benched, most likely since he has 1 shot in the past 3 games even though he has 5 goals and 3 assists on the season

I get the move. I don't think now is the right time, as they are coming off a win... but its evident TK hasn't been full throttle since his strong first few games. It sends a message to the team and also tells TK he can't slack off and hold the role he does. There are loads of kids playing with really high energy so its obvious out there when someone isn't playing their best.

I like and respect this move - just think it should have followed a loss / a worse game.
