There were some brutal calls again in the sjs col game. Some really weak ones both ways. I really hope this stops soon cause I cannot watch/ stand for this leak into the playoffs

Highlights of some of the awful calls. Didn't include McDavid diving to give Edmonton a 5 on 3.

LOL that’s tough, Kerfoot almost killed him! - I can’t remember the call exactly but I think Kane hit someone and got a elbowing call when it was his hand in their face and then I believe it was a COL player got called for holding when he tried to go around a sharks player, he skated within the sharks players personal space!!! That’s a big no no this year it seems lol.

Refs gave Toronto a make up call with a real weak delay of game.

They haven’t played that poorly IMO. The 2nd goal was a bad bounce, and Rittich should’ve had the 4th one. And I think they’re expected to lose when they’re playing against the 2 best teams in the division.

But there’s no reason Calgary can’t be the best team in the division with their roster. They shouldn’t be dropping 6 points (12 point swing) at all

Notes:
-Kaprizov is pretty good at hockey.
-JEE has 5g/2a in 8 games.
-Spurgeon hasn't been good.
-Fiala might get a suspension.
-The PP is awful.

Just looked at the PP lines on daily faceoff and it makes some sense why:

- 3 wingers, 2 defensemen.

Is spurgeon really 1st pair PP type? Suter and Dumba are more offensive.

Kaprizov - Ek - Fiala
Suter - Parise

would think having Ek as a big body would function a good bit better than what they have now, especially given Ek's hot streak.

Calgary should have used Rittich sooner and let Markstrom have the MTL games. MTL has benefitted a lot from puck luck early on in their season and CGY didnt' seem to get many bounces. I expect a closer, and probably CGY winner next game with Markstrom + learning from mistakes.

OMG Murray!!!

Ottawa could have had this game if Murray was competent. 2 of these goals were completely Murray's fault. Horrible positioning and just doesn't look good. Don't blame him tho as that Ottawa defense is gnarly...

Why on earth is Mike Reilly still in the NHL...?

Just been snake bitten since the 5 day break ended. I knew Rittichs first game would be awful and he’s gonna get so much hate, when in reality it’s not his fault. Hasn’t played a game in nearly a year. Wards player distribution this year is a fireable offence. Especially with Gallant at home

Never been a fan of Murray. Ngl, still kind of hold a grudge against him for the Team NA vs Russia game.

Yep. The PP is run that way and nobody can figure out why. Only thing we've come up with is Parise, Suter, and Spurgeon get paid the most money.

TBF it's better than it was with the 3 wingers, Dumba and Spurgeon. Spurgeon is wasted as the QB on the point.

It’s mostly the fact that Florida, Carolina, Tampa Bay, and Dallas haven’t played much. Otherwise, with the way they’re playing right now, Dallas would be number 1 for sure.

What's worst is that they're missing half their roster to injuries.

it did go both ways - it favoured EDM for sure, but there was a power play that Toronto should not have had too.

Dallas has incredible depth. They're special teams are top notch. Gurianov is developing into a legit top six forward. Miro is just getting warmed up. They're definitely an elite hockey team right now.

Replaces Shane Churla who went to Florida. This is one of Montreal's weakest departments so hopefully it's a step in the right direction.

The legendary Fleischmann trade.

Thinking back actually, Fleischmann was a trade part involved in many quite significant player trades.

Robert Lang, Dany Heatley, Scott Hannan, Philip Danault, Alex Romanov.

Feel like every time the guy was traded, the other team won.

Heatley never played a game for the team he was traded to.
