Konecny was scratched for coaching reasons per AV. He said he expects better 5v5 play and hasn't been seeing it for a handful of games in a row. Philly isn't trading arguably their best forward not named Couturier.

I know we won, but I’m not impressed. 2 player team right now. Gaudreau and Markstrom. Tkachuk and Lindholm were pretty meh. Dube was really good. Gaudreau was very good, Monahan was meh. Backlund was god awful, Bennett was good for the first time in a while. Mangi is always good despite some bad results and a rotating wheel of lines. 4th line was better tonight. We need Backlund to be substantially better though if we want to win. Gio and Ras with another awful night, Tanev Hanifin with another solid night. Valimaki was good, some growing pains with him every now and then but he shows flashes of being a top pair guy. Markstrom is the team MVP thus far. Overall, good win, Backlund needs to be better, Tkachuk is struggling right now, the Gio Ras pairing needs to be better
