MTL
  1. Zegras, Trevor
Détails additionnels:
With the addition of Cutter Gauthier, there is chance that Trevor Zegras leave Anaheim. Rumors link him with Montreal since this summer.

Zegras could play with one of his best friends Cole Caufield.

The value of what Montreal give should look like what Edmonton received for Eberle (Ryan Strome). They don't have a Ryan Strome in Montreal so a first pick protect top 8 plus Jakub Dobes (Ducks doesn't have a big pool of goalie prospect) could look what Ryan Strome was worth back in the days.

*** Could add Riley Kidney but I don't know if Anaheim truly want him.
ANA

  2. Choix de 1e ronde en 2024 (MTL)
Détails additionnels:
If the Montreal 2024 1st round pick is a top 8 (probably won't happen, the 2025 1st round pick is transferred to the ducks with a 4th round pick in 2024. If the 2025 1st round pick is top 3, it would be the 2026 1st round pick not protected and another 4th round pick in 2025 is transferred to the Ducks.

Détails additionnels:

  1. Askarov, Yaroslav
Détails additionnels:
Predators won't trade Juuse Saros and Askarov is ready to play in the NHL next year or in 2 years. Pierre Lebrun said that the price for Askarov is not high because he didn't prove anything. He said a good backup goalie could be the price. I added Harris and 5th round because I think the value of Askarov may be a little higher than Allen.
NSH
  1. Allen, Jake (1 925 000 $ retained)
  2. Harris, Jordan
  3. Choix de 5e ronde en 2024 (MTL)
Détails additionnels:
Harris prove that he is a full time NHLer and Ryan McDonough is getting very old so they might need a new defenseman.

Edmonton part away with the big contract of Campbell and get some dept players and Savard that can take big minutes.
EDM
  1. Kovacevic, Johnathan
  2. Pezzetta, Michael
  3. Savard, David
Détails additionnels:

Campbell has negative value and Edmonton should give a first and a 2nd.

laugh Anaheim sure as hell declines.

Nashville declines, Garbage isn't getting you Askarov.

Edmonton isn't giving up 2 1st and a 2nd for jack Campbell, When they can buy him out this summer for very little cap.

And sorry Sean Monahan isn't returning you no 1st when he can't even stay healthy.

Commence with the waiving. No way Hawks give up a 3rd for Dvorak. You switch it to the Hawks getting a 3rd for taking him, we have a deal.

Eberle and Zegras has pretty much the same style, both draft 5th overall and Eberle on his 2nd season put up 76 points. Eberle was trade for Ryan Strome. Maybe add a second but Ducks are not getting 2 1st round pick for Zegras.

    Yes.
Zegras - Carlsson - Terry, Gauthier - McTavish - Killorn (2024 first-round pick when he matures), Vatrano - Gaucher - Perreault (? - jury still out)

Perrault and Gaucher are bottom 6 in the show. If Carlsson and McTavish are down the middle that puts Zegras and Gauthier on Left, Terry and X on right. That's our top 6 moving forward.

Nashville Predators Rumors: Yaroslav Askarov Linked to Oilers Trade Talk https://predlines.com/2023/11/08/nashville-predators-askarov-rumors/

I assume this tweet quoted in the article is what you're referring to:

"Ryan Rishaug on “Got Yer Back!” podcast suggested trying to acquire Askarov from Nashville who has great numbers in the AHL, LeBrun says it would be too risky for the Oilers, hasn’t proven he can do it at the NHL level yet even though he’s been great in the minors."

That definitely doesn't say Askarov would come cheap - just that it would be risky for EDM to rely on Askarov at this point in his career. The next tweet from the same account refutes that Askarov could be had for scraps:

"LeBrun said he would rather go after Saros, but Trotz has said he isn’t trading him, and the price for both goaltenders would be high. They also throw out Varlamov and Gibson’s names, but those don’t look like realistic possibilities."

    https://twitter.com/NHL_Watcher/status/1722345249895260551

Even if NSH was entertaining offers on Askarov, why would they want Allen as the main piece of the return? They'd still have Saros and Lankinen, if they trade Askarov. NSH isn't going to trade their best prospect for a vet goalie for their AHL team.

Harris would be of no interest to NSH either, as their pretty set on LDs. Josi, Mcdonagh, & Lauzon all have multiple years of term left. Stastney and Del Gaizo are both NHL ready, and neither will be waivers exempt next season.

Doesn't mean he's available for spare parts. Gauthier was shopped since before the draft, still took Drysdale and a 2nd.

I didn't say he's available for spare parts, but he is going to be moved. This was evident when the Ducks tried to low ball him over the summer. He's not an important part of their future plans. He's replaced with Cutter Gauthier and probably is going to fetch a couple 1sts for the Ducks

That's spare parts, he will bring back a player of a similar level or he stays. Z isn't replaced by Gauthier, he was added to. Z was our only top 6LW, now we have two.

If a lottery team like Montreal sends you multiple 1sts (or something like a good prospect and a single 1st) I wouldn't say that's "spare parts" but to each their own
