Nashville Predators Rumors: Yaroslav Askarov Linked to Oilers Trade Talk https://predlines.com/2023/11/08/nashville-predators-askarov-rumors/
I assume this tweet quoted in the article is what you're referring to:
"Ryan Rishaug on “Got Yer Back!” podcast suggested trying to acquire Askarov from Nashville who has great numbers in the AHL, LeBrun says it would be too risky for the Oilers, hasn’t proven he can do it at the NHL level yet even though he’s been great in the minors."
That definitely doesn't say Askarov would come cheap - just that it would be risky for EDM to rely on Askarov at this point in his career. The next tweet from the same account refutes that Askarov could be had for scraps:
"LeBrun said he would rather go after Saros, but Trotz has said he isn’t trading him, and the price for both goaltenders would be high. They also throw out Varlamov and Gibson’s names, but those don’t look like realistic possibilities."

Even if NSH was entertaining offers on Askarov, why would they want Allen as the main piece of the return? They'd still have Saros and Lankinen, if they trade Askarov. NSH isn't going to trade their best prospect for a vet goalie for their AHL team.
Harris would be of no interest to NSH either, as their pretty set on LDs. Josi, Mcdonagh, & Lauzon all have multiple years of term left. Stastney and Del Gaizo are both NHL ready, and neither will be waivers exempt next season.
