This year might be one of those years we look back on like wasn’t that a weird year or it’s a changing of the guard

No one, there’s no clear cut favourite, if I had to pick, it’d be between Dallas, Vegas and Toronto

I mean, I picked the Avs to win in 7 games, there are definitely people who thought Seattle had what it took, now Florida, that’s an upset, there was a 43 point difference between Florida and Boston (might be the biggest point differential in a playoff matchup, no idea), Boston was record breaking good, Florida wouldn’t have made the playoffs if Pittsburgh didn’t choke their last 2 games away

Even if perfect the remainder, my bracket cannot recover from that and claim the title as I had the winner moving on to the third round. I guess I can hope Seattle somehow deals with them and ruins a bunch of other ppls stuff

After watching the first round I’d totally change my predictions:

Im on team Oilers but the WCF looks like Vegas Stars to me. Stars were rockstars without Pavelski, Heiskenen is filthy, Robertson is legit, old dudes aren’t sucking, etc. and it sucks pavelski was injured, but silver lining is his old self is now rested.

Im on team Leafs but let’s face it, they were forced to play Tampa’s game and managed to win. That counts for something, but I’d feel a heck of a lot better if they had forced Tampa to play their game, which is what I thought would happen. I think Florida can do what Tampa did to Toronto, except they’ll do it more forcibly. And I’m guessing the willpower inside Matt Tkachuk to silence Toronto burns like a thousand suns.

And the Hurricanes look so good but they can’t catch a break with forward injuries. Ultimately that’s a big deal, unfortunately.

So now thinking Florida Rangers/Devils is entirely viable.

Such a cool trade deadline and such a cool playoffs.

I’m sticking with oilers win cup over leaves as it was decided, but need a confidence building round.
