-Two former Cleveland Monsters (and teammates on the Monsters) in goal tonight: Korpi for us, and Anton Forsberg for the Sens.

-Boqvist nails a long stretch pass to Eric Robinson, but Anton Forsberg shuts him down hard. Hello, police? I would like to report a robbery.

-Parker Kelly just tattooed Marcus Bjork. Welcome to the big-leagues, kid? Can we still say that?

-Erik Gudbranson cross-checks Brady Tkachuk, so we’re off to the penalty kill. Only took them ten minutes to do something interesting…

-We kill the penalty off. If we don’t end this season with a top 12 PK, I will be surprised.

-Patrik Laine had a good chance, going between his legs, but Forsberg shuts him down too. Anton Forsberg for Vezina.

-Looks to be more of the same between these two teams as the first period fades to black. Which goalie will break first?

-Drake Batherson scores off the crossbar on the PP. I would shut the game off here, but I feel like I’ve done that too much as of late. I’m sticking through this whole game, even if it kills me.

-Can we please stay out of the penalty box, for the love of god? Marcus Bjork gets bopped with his second penalty of the night (hooking Drake Batherson). I hate this team.

-That gets killed off, and miraculously we go the rest of the period without letting another goal in. I hate this team marginally less.

-I've noticed a trend: Third periods with this team are agonizingly boring. Two penalties and and empty net goal later, and this game is over.

The game vs Tampa last night… oh boy where do I begin?

Well the games starts off strong in the first 5 minutes Seth Jones chips it by Brian Elliot

Unfortunately the lead last just 7 minutes as Victor Hedman finds Pat Maroon who taps in behind Stalock

We had one more chance with 30 seconds left but Brian Elliot wasn’t having it

We start off poorly in the second but Stalock shuts down Hagel on a beautiful feed from Hedman

Shockingly we held off the Lightning the entire period keeping it tied at 1-1

But the less then 8 minutes into the third Alex Killorn just stick handles around a diving Murphy and Tampa has the lead again

And three minutes former Blackhawk Brandon Hagel pokes it into the net

And that’s the game Nick Paul adds an empty netter and Tampa wins 4-1 making it 5 straight losses for Chicago
