I think Xhekaj has earned a long term future with the Habs brass and fanbase. You are overpaying significantly but I just don't know if Montreal will move on from a guy that beat the crap out of one of the toughest guys in the league. They need someone to protect their stars and isn't part of the core group like Anderson. If Xhekaj gets a broken hand we have other guys to replace him I'm the lineup for a few weeks, if Anderson does then we really have no one else who plays his style up front in the top 6. For me, as much as an overpayment this is, we need to pass.
