Who cares. Calgary arguably upgraded on wing. Huberdeau is honestly better than Tkachuk. They also get Weegar out of it too. Looks like Calgary remains a playoff team next season

It's all about money. They knew they can't re-sign Hubby or Weegar so better bank on it now. Plus long-term it might be beneificial as Huberdeau is turning 30 next year, meanwhile Tkachuk's turning only 25.

Treliving is taking a huge risk cuz if he doesn't f*cking sign Huberdeau and Weegar his ass is getting banished from Calgary.

They definitely gave up a lot , but Huberdeau and Weegar are entering the last year of the deals. I think the trade makes sense for Florida, it extends their window and they don’t have to pay Huberdeau 9-10 mill till he’s 37. This is an overpay that is justifiable

I think it's safe to say that Calgary is still a top playoff team with this trade. Huberdeau and Weegar are huge pluses and I believe they still money to burn after the Mangiapane/Kylington signings.
