Honestly though im watching the WPG situation as if Scheiefle and PLD are traded along with Wheeler might as well blow it up and a guy like Hellebuyck could get a kings ransom

And Hellebuyck to me is what they need rn.

Hellebyuck isn't going to be made available until one or both of PLD and Wheeler are dealt. This time next year might be the earliest once the Jets are forced into another retool from squandering their late-2010s runs teams.

Therein lies the opportunity for the Leafs: take two one-year fixes to both positions while Kallgren gets another year of seasoning either the Marlies. Run Helly and Erik full-time the following year.

I feel the TDL will be when we see either or both guys moved

As if PLD isnt gonna extend long term then trade him at the time when teams heavily overpay

So if all works out maybe Hellebuyck at the TDL. Only can really happen if Muzzin got hurt but would never wish of that as the poor guys been through enough

Seattle going after Kadri is incredibly dumb. You have berniers , Gourde, and Wright up the middle, no reason to give a 32 year old a 7 year deal

As they should , you are setting yourself up for years IMO if you can get one of Bedard, Michkov, or Fantilli they are that good.

I think MatthewsFan made the ACGM but honestly both guys wouldnt be out of the question. Would mean a 4th line of ELC's and dirt cheap deals but its possible

I remember reading somewhere Kadri didnt want to go back to Atlantic unless it was Toronto and it kind of makes sense in some cases

With the Kuemper decision im surprised he isnt getting extended by Colorado

My guess is if Gaudreau leaves then Calgary heavily peruses Kadri

Some team is gonna over pay for him because the goalie market is dry. Not because he's good


hes worth a 2nd in the current market. i think the habs will keep him unless a goalie gets thrown in as part of a petry or anderson trade.

Lots of talk about goalies in here recently, wanted to bring this twitter thread to your attention.
Felt like I gained a lot from it.





Spoiler alert, it seems to make the case that Allen will fetch less in return than what the esteemed @DucharmetheDOMinator believes, but more than what the honourable BeterChiarelli suggests.

Also, it's likely a very bad idea to be looking at MM as your starter for the next season. Looking at you Kyle Dubas.

Murray to Toronto makes 0 sense unless there is a 3rd team involved or a really good sweetener coming back

As Murray's injury issues present a real problem for any team planning to use him 40+ games and Toronto already got out of Mrazek who has a similar problem

Kuemper probs goes to Edmonton
Campbell extends in Toronto
Holtby goes back to Washington
Murray probs ends up in Chicago or stays in Ottawa

I would point out that the way Woodguy normalized goals saved above expected basically correlates to sv% at a 1-to-1. His stuff is still brilliant he's a great read. I'd just take this list with a grain of salt.

Still gotta give Woodguy props for why the Kampf signing was a good idea before the season started

That said with Skinner not being waiver exempt anymore I feel its probs not a great idea to have the tandem be Allen/Skinner
