His 10 team no-trade-list could be a problem but I believe it's unknown who's on there so that applies to every potential candidate. Oilers would probably have to pay a bit more than teams from the EC to get him which might be an issue. But I think he'll end up in either Toronto or Edmonton.

tampa too is gunna have a tough time cap wise next year. the cap reaper is about to come due. they are going to be like 2m over with a 19 man roster.

Next year they're ok. It's the year after they're screwed. But theyve been in a "tough time" capwise for a couple years now and still manage to ice a mildly competitive team.

I share this sentiment, really feel like Zib's 8x8.5m extension (THAT HASN'T EVEN KICKED IN YET HAHAHA) will seriously handcuff them going forward.

Saving grace is that the Rangers have so many young defencemen with serious upside.
Miller, Lindgren, Fox, Schneider, Jones and Lundkvist all younger than 25 with the latter three yet to play a full season in the NHL.
If they can get out from Trouba's contract in a year or two, the Rangers could have one of the best d corps ever assembled.
