He's from NY. He signed with his heart, not his brain

I do think he’s a good prospect, but I think there are some things to be concerned with even in that player card. Combining that with some recent scouting reports I’ve heard, you’d like his finishing to be more elite (especially when compared to AHLers) because he’s not really a play driver, good defensively, or a physical presence (although he does forecheck well at least), so his shot is his main weapon (if he doesn’t become a 2LW sniper he probably doesn’t make it at all imo, or turns into an Olofsson type where he’s 2nd line on a bad team, bottom six PP specialist on a good team, and that’s not really super high in demand), and the HUGE discrepancy between xGF% and GF% should mean he’s primed for major regression. He’s also gotta stop getting injured to develop into anything.

When he played with Nylander in those 2 games they had something going where Nylander made that sweet pass that he finished and then when he made 2 amazing passes wo Willy who just barely missed on both opportunities. I feel his finishing will get much better as he gets more games in as when he was with the Petes man would he finish 8/10 shots on net.

He just needs more time to develop as he is really close to being NHL ready. Just needs a good AHL season under his belt and to improve some areas of weakness. But so far so good. He and Ho-Sang got some chemistry going though similar to how he and Willy were going about things. If he learns to play with guys like that then we got a candidate for someone to play with Nylander in the event Keefe decides to do something like RNH and make Willy the 3c.

I feel like trying Nylander at centre should be a borderline fireable offense if everyone’s healthy lmao, it’s been tried several times already and it has been a colossal failure every time. He doesn’t have the attention to detail and defensive play that a centre needs, and there’s hard proof of it not working. He’s a very good NHL winger, not centre.

As for Robertson I do think there’s a good chance he makes it as a 2LW (if Tavares can make Okposo a goal scorer, surely he can do the same for Robertson), but you want your 3rd line to be better defensively. It’s kinda like the Bracco situation, but with a sniper instead of a playmaker, he either makes the top 6 (which could happen, I believe he has the talent and drive) or he doesn’t make it. He’d have to majorly adapt his game, and even then his frame might hold him back. So I don’t think 3rd line is a great option, and he obviously didn’t look good in his stint on the 4th line, that’s entirely the wrong situation for him. I agree a full AHL season would be good for him, but when is he gonna get that? Next year? He’s only played 53 games the last two seasons, and missed 22 and 14 games in his last two OHL seasons. He’s always injured, and that might prevent him from ever reaching the peak he needs to in order to be an impact NHLer for his size.

Dufour with his 48th goal of the season - he should be a good Clutterbuck replacement assuming Lou doesn't give Clutterbuck another contract in 2 years.

Wyatt Johnston (DAL), Rory Kerins (CGY) and Luke Evangelista (NSH) have all reached the 100 points mark this season in the OHL.

They are on pace to have three of the best individual seasons we have seen in the past decade.

Am I understanding this right? Johnston got 128 points in 18 games? I must be pace because no way that's right.

The McDavid math is botched too. Ridiculous to think he was on a 183-point pace sheesh.
