Jake Allen a signé un contrat de 2 ans d'une valeur de 5 750 000 $ avec les Canadiens de Montréal, le 14 oct. 2020. Le contrat comporte un cap hit de 2 875 000 $.
he is seattle bait, they needed someone to expose on the goalie front and hes perfect for that
Wrong, he’s not Seattle bait because there’s 8 other teams that have a better backup and will not be able to protect them for Seattle to choose from. They’ll take one of MTL’s younger skaters

I didn't think of that, it is a good reason. But Marc Bergevin plays a dangerous game giving all those extensions to guys that have never played a game with the Canadiens. What is going to happen if the line of Gallagher, Danault, Tatar, arguably their best line, all walk to free agency? This is a scary game.

they needed someone to expose for seattle so makes sense.

They already had Lindgren to expose as an RFA.
I do agree that Allen becomes appealing for Seattle. Hopefully, they take the bait and Bergy keeps his depth elsewhere.
Cap will be thight next year. I wonder if Bergy isn't spending to leave juuuuust enough to sign Danault and Gally to his determined amount (12M total IMO) .

These signings have nothing to do with it if all 3 walk. We can afford to sign 2 of them. If Byron and Kulak are traded, we should be able to sign all 3
