Why are you on this site when your only intent is to make Marner trades that are horrible for the leaf's

How do these keep getting worse?

I am doing a series that explores possibility of places Marner could go. Not all the trades are going to be good, which is why they most likely won’t move him at all. It’s nothing serious.

I think my favourite part is Ceci as 7D for $800k

As for the Marner trade, Toronto needs to add an asset, and retain more on Marner.

But to be serious that's pretty close to what this is.

The ask for Marner starts with Byram and Burakovsky.

Everyone says that Johnson was bad this season but he was actually decent from a statistical point of view. Ranked in the 53rd percentile in expected goals against. Obviously he’s a little older, but he’s exactly what Toronto needs in terms of a minute eating all round right handed defenceman.

Not a chance Marner has enough value to fetch Byram.

With retention he definitely does. You act like he's a cap dump. He's still a top 20 if not top 10 winger in the league.

Most people on this site view & on social media in general regard him as a cap dump.

I’m not sure if you’re aware, but it’s unlikely for the Leafs to get full value if they trade Marner. Only playoff teams would be interested in acquiring him & due to his large cap hit, that deflates his value. Even at 9 Million is a lot of money. If you trade him to a rebuilding team, they won’t want to give up future assets.

Kamenev is a talented forward who would fit in well in Toronto. O’Connor is an excellent prospect & you’re getting a 1st on top of that.

That’s some good stuff your smoking. Byram isn’t going anywhere unless Sakic wants to add another elite 1C. It isn’t often a good team gets a top 4 pick, but hitting on those picks give you the chance to win multiple cups. Throwing away a 1st pairing dman, and a 50pt wing for a ppg wing on a $9M per yr contract, is just bad asset management.
