Not going to lie, I'm curious to see what it will be like in New Jersey if Keefe gets hired. He's a solid coach, but he leans a lot on low-maintainance 2 way guy. Really likes his defensive specialists. Has a harder time incorporating younger guys into the lineup and struggles hard with less than average skaters. There aren't a lot of David Kampfs or Alex Kerfoots on NJs roster.

I've got a feeling that Haula and Palat are in for good seasons if Keefe gets in. Holtz will not get the playing time he deserves, Clarke will be a scratch, Meier will suffer, and Siegenthaler - Marino is going to get a lot of ice time.

Really curious how his structure will apply to a team that can afford to have a deeper forward group. I think he is going to love that blue line

To me both should have got 1 game each for tag teaming as a cheap cross check shot to the back that then leads to the other guy getting McDavid in the face with another cross check wasnt good

What Hyman did was worse than Soucy and Zadorov. He intentionally cross checked Zadorov in the face, giving Zadorov a cut that required stitches. None of them deserve suspensions, but if anyone does it’s Hyman

Soucy deserved a suspension sorry. After he slashed McDavid he then decided to crosscheck and while Zadorov's crosscheck which was also bad due to going for a guy not paying attention in the back lead to it being higher both players should know better

League has said its cracking down on this stuff and when you both guys decided lets double team McDavid and start a brawl. Not a good look and both needed to be told thats a no no. After Soucy slashed McDavid back that should have been it but Zadorov escalated it. This then results in the scrum which leads to ABC

But in the end if Zadorov didnt do what he did none of that would have happened.

The league needs to make rules less subjective but that’s impossible. We all agree at the end of the day if your player gets cross checked in the face it’s not worth keeping in the game.

I’d be okay with Soucy getting 1 game if the NHL was consistent, but they aren’t. From this series alone there’s the Ryan spear on Hoglander, Kane slew foot on Hughes, and Hyman cross check to Zadorov’s face. I’d say Joshua’s hit on Stastney in round 1 was worse than the Soucy play. Not to mention Bennett sucker punching Marchand that went unpunished as well
