Chinakov isn't going to convince Philly to do that

Oof I extremely disagree lol, I think these deals are awful for CBJ. Flyers take that and run imo. I don’t care if Gud is awful his deal is up in 3 years and Chinakov is a solid prospect

Based on the direction CGY is headed (see the exodus of players leaving or refusing to resign), MTL would be dumb to trade that 2025 CGY 1st (could easily be a top 10 pick).

There is condition on the pick. To be a top 10 pick, Florida AND Calgary would have to be in the top 10. That pick is most likely Florida’s first. I would jump on this trade

Jackets aren’t trading sillinger for a late first two years from now. Maybe for the Habs pick next year top 5 protected

At worst we buyout gudbranson after this season and keep our bet with sillinger turning out (which is still fairly likely).

We are not trading Sillinger nor using draft capital to move Gudbranson. The team is more likely to buyout Gudbranson at 1.2 mil per year for the next 4 years (starting next year) if it ever came to that but at this point he's there more as a leadership/enforcer role. I highly doubt this happens unless Cuelmans decides he wants to go big in the AHL and is trying to force his way up into the show.

Chinakov would be the 6th best RW or 4th/5th best LW in the Flyers system. Unless you truly believe he's going to take huge steps forward in the next year or two, there's no reason we should be taking a hand grenade of a contract for a guy who mostly likely wouldn't be a part of this team's future

I'd put money on Marchenko scoring more goals than Tarasenko this year. Would rather keep Chinakhov and Sillinger than take away the option of signing KJ and Marchenko long term next summer.
