Replacing Tanev with Peeke
Jackets should move him to any team willing to take on the full contract. Regardless of value, he has handled this extremely well and deserves to be traded to a team that would give him an opportunity. Future considerations should be more than enough for him at this point IMO. If the flames want to give up a 6th or 7th to get it done, then immediate deal.

This response is played out. Analytics show he has been significantly better this year and is a respectable 3RD, especially on a team at the bottom of the standings.

Jackets fans accept. I don't see the front office moving giving up Gudbranson and his leadership ability.

I don't feel like the front office bites on this for Gudbranson even though it is more than enough IMO. Between the retention and his value in the locker room, I don't think getting a late first rounder is enough to get them to part with him. Should be, but the front office won't do it.

Only catch is this depends on the lottery, but we know Columbus won't win it, so deal.

So lets Clarify
Gudbranson is a bad option because he will require a significant overpay for us to move him, even moreso if you want the Jackets to retain for multiple years. Front office loves him in the lockerroom and we need vets like him around with this young team.

I would be all for moving on from Tarasov at this point, but committing $10M to those two goalies seems like a terrible idea.

Not at all the case this year. He has been a very serviceable 3RD and valuable leader. Not worth his $4M on the contract, but $8M over 2 years for a respectable 3rd liner vs $15M over 3 years for an AHL goalie is drastically different.

What is Voronkovs Cost
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pocke</b></div><div>No that doesn't do it, his value is extremely high.
He's 23 and plays the sort of Nichushkin playoff game. Nearly impossible to move, wins a crazy amount of battles, can single handedly pull a puck off the wall to the middle of the ice. He's got excellent vision and playmaking, just needs time to adjust to the league.
He's currently 19th in the league at 5v5 points/60 all the while barely speaking English.
It's too early to trade him for anything but a fantastic player.</div></div>
Exactly this. He likely projects as a M6 winger, but there is still a small chance he can make the move to center. He is a player that Columbus is not interested in moving as he fulfills a substantial amount of needs and has team control for a while. Basically he is Boone Jenner 2.0 in terms of what it would take to get him out of Columbus.

Treliving Gets Guys With Term
If we start saying Jackets accept every Boone trade will it stop Leafs fans from posting 35 of them a day? Clearly saying the Leafs don't have the pieces for a Boone trade doesn't work, so we might as well try something different at this point.

Jackets would do those two with retention for a third most likely. No room to take guys back though, especially not RD and a scratch with term.

Jarmo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xercuses</b></div><div>I thought yall liked him?</div></div>
There are mixed feelings and as time passes, we will move towards appreciating what he had accomplished for a team that had been so bad the entirety of its existence. We had our four best seasons under him and torts. Once guys starting asking out and not resigning, he struggled to build a team. He chased some bad signings and made some overpayments for a team that wasn't ready to compete. In my opinion, he has always done very well on trades and recently has done well with draft picks, but he hasn't been able to pull that talent together. Throw in the terrible hirings of Larson and Babcock, the mismanagement of Jiricek, Johnson and Sillinger these past two years and it was clear it was time to move on. He has definitely set up the next management group for success, but his time in Columbus had expired years ago.

Easily the worst Jenner to Toronto trade of the day. And that is ignoring that you also want Jiricek.

I would think that Provorov retained for 1.5 years has more value than that. I would think he is worth a second, plus retention for this year would make it a first. Another full year of retention would be a 3rd or 4th.

Jackets have no use for two LD that would walk in FA unless Provorov is traded. Take one out and give us a better or extra pick for retention on Roslovic.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SK101</b></div><div>This is definitely fair for Jenner. I still don’t think jarmo does it. Boone is more valuable to the jackets than any other team</div></div>
Value wise I agree its fair, but we have plenty of prospects. Picks this late in round 1 aren't moving the needle one the rebuild. The only was I see Boone getting moved is if someone like Elias Petterson becomes available and Boone becomes part of that package. There is just no incentive to trade him for picks/prospects right now.

I think that value would be fair and that we should move him out to get a look at some of the guys in Cleveland. But based on this season, Jarmo gives me no reason to believe he truly wants to evaluate those fringe guys. He can't even decide if Jiricek is an AHL or NHL guy, so I don't see him actually moving Danforth to open up that spot.
