If Holland can get him and work on an extension price is fine. I know his stats have been bad but this was in the bad CBJ era. To me Edmunson makes a bit more sense as he also adds the toughness they want but hey both be cheaper than Chycrun whose also on Edmonton's radar

Edmunson is also a very poor defender and shouldn't be what Edmonton is targeting.

Gavrikov hasn't fared much better either this year and I'd prefer Chychrun strictly because of the term but anything helps at this point. If they must go the CBJ route, I'd like Gus too.

So Ottawa has 16mill and needs to sign Cat for 9mill and 7 other guys including Pinto to meet the roster requirements interesting

To me if they want to move Zaitsev I would do what MTL did with acquiring Monahan and demand a 1st as with the limited cap teams should take full advantage

If Holland can work out an early extension on arrival Gav honestly is fine. Like his terrible stats mainly stem from the bad era of CBJ. To bad he didnt play with em when their Dcore was absolutely loaded

Would have gave us better samples. As I feel there is more to him then what we see

What is a good comparable for a Sandin and Liligren extension

To me Pelech and Pulock are intriguing. Yes its risky but I would rather ink them with the term before they take an even bigger step and start pushing for more

3 years 4mill idk to me that spells were gonna go from paying em more by the end of those deals. As they still young and havent hit their primes yet

Like if we think about it if they take that next step and hit their primes Sandin and Liligren could command more than 6.5 mill

Hedman did this is a few seasons ago so its a safe bet hell rebound and be in the Norris conversation next season

liljegren won't be a strong point producer so I can see him in the 5.5-6 mill x 8 range. Sandin has the potential to put up 40-50 pts so he might be in the 7 mill range by the time his contract is up

8 years for sandin will be in the 7 mill range unless he wants to take a discount for whatever reason

Yeah, I never thought he was terrible defensively, people overreact regarding that. He's just lazy, that's the issue.

The habs really need to let Slafkovksy go and dominate in the AHL. He needs to dominate a league and his offensive game is still a work in progress.
