Campbell, Markstrom, Lehner, Bob, Grubauer, and so on....

All of the above (and many other around the league) have been far outplayed by Goalies that are younger, cheeper, or both. Recent history has clearly shown us that you don't need a $5M+ AAV Goalie to win.

I'd still rather have Vasilevskiy at 9.5M than any of those below 5M goalies.

They never made it clear lul. 2 weeks before free agency reports came out saying a deal was in place ready and waiting for Jack by the Oilers, Holland never got permission to have talks with Campbell and thus affected negotiations. Tampering in prime view

Leafs actually tried till the end to keep Hyman and were in talks with Campbell a day before but the price wasnt there. Either way hes got a 5mill backup to anchor so that will teach him not to tamper next time

Yep, as to who I have no idea. With a cap strapped world potentially coming again a bought out Hayes gonna be on many contenders bucket lists as if u can get a 50+ point guy for 2mill do it (hes on pace rn for almost 80 points I believe)
