There was something that was worse, by a significant enough margin to cause you to lose. The only things that are luck are like bad bounces off the glass that shoot into the middle and give an open net. Unless you give up two of those every game, then there was some area that you were worse at.


You don't understand the difference between being better and playing better,
Let me explain,
Philly had the star power and no energy
Montreal had the energy and no star power excluding Price.
If Philly had a copy of what the habs team was. Habs would've won.
Philly had to try only like 45% to win, instead of an 80% chance.
Because they were a better constructed team.
And it worked.
But if Montreal also used a 45% effort.
It would've been a sweep.
It wasn't, because the habs had a 85% effort, but they didn't have the star power to preform well.
They played better, got better chances, couldn't finish.
Philly was just naturally better.

Dont be too stubborn, Think it over.

Feel like if Sandin clears, rumours of Simmonds going to PHI to continue playing, I could see them swap.

You do realize that total “better” = skill + effort? If you didn’t put in enough effort to make up for the skill difference, then you weren’t the better team. And that’s why you lost. You were better relative to individual expectations than they were to theirs maybe. But you were not the better team.

Like he’s completely right “they’re scattered” was a great quote.

What fletcher did to that team is a travesty and there’s a complete lack of direction.

People hate tort’s but he’s very respectable imo. Doesn’t mean he’s perfect, but that was a no bull**** and 100% correct answer.

He’s 100% right. I personally just wouldn’t want to watch him coach the team I root for.

Fletchers moves will force them into a rebuild sooner than later

I see Dubas trading Simmonds for a D who passed through waivers. I think its gonna be Connauton for Simmonds

And also saw the Linus termination thing as yeah kind of expected him to back to SHL as they make more over there
