We can have fun trading players on here but moving out salary is not easy. They got limited cap space without moving Kerfoot or Holl, both who play a large roll on the team. So you have to replace that. Now add in a quality backup which won’t be cheap.

kubel can score a bit but is a dumb penalty magnet. sturm didn't really fit in with the avs as well as helm, and the leafs play a similar style to the avs.

Your assumption that Barron = 1st after decreasing in value after being picked in the late 1st is simply not justifiable. I would much rather have an actual 1st round pick to use on an 18yo that I like, rather than a prospect that still has okay, but not 1st round calibre upside.
