Your assumption that Barron = 1st after decreasing in value after being picked in the late 1st is simply not justifiable. I would much rather have an actual 1st round pick to use on an 18yo that I like, rather than a prospect that still has okay, but not 1st round calibre upside.
nah barron is worth a 1st. if anything his value has gone up since being drafted.
Of course you would if you get it
But I didn't get anything for when lehky went for Barron + 2nd
This mod thing is a good gig, eh?
If I was a mod, I would get the big bucks from the lehky prediction, but alas..
If the habs trade CDs, what do you think they’d get in return

He was viewed as a top 4 lock, potential top pair guy at the time if he could recover from his injury. He then deteriorated way down, but now he's viewed as probably a 3rd pair guy at his floor, maybe a 2nd pair guy if you're lucky (or bad). At this point I wouldn't take him over any of the guys picked below him in the 1st except Wiesblatt, nor over Peterka or Bordeleau plus several other guys where it's debatable.
Its just...I deserve much more respect
But you guys keep sh*tting on me
I don't think reading the rumors and passing them onto us commands respect. We've all read the same articles after all.
It was a question of who blinks first, Hughes or the opposing GM, and during the deadline the opposing GMs did that more often, much to the detriment of Zito, and for the good of Sakic.
Because we fans are almost never correct on anything I think we should collectively discuss what is fair and makes sense, as bickering about whose gm is an idiot and whose gm is not is not fruitful in the slightest.
Former Soo Greyhounds that are UFAs this summer: Colin Miller, Nick Cousins, Zachary Senyshyn. Look out Toronto, all three of these guys are coming to town.
