I could see Edmonton maybe going for the trade or some derivation of it. Barrie is redundant with Bouchard but Savard has just been bad in Montreal and doesn’t put up points like Barrie and has a longer contract so I personally think that’d be a bad move for Edmonton. Allen is lateral with koskinen in terms of recent results but Allen is cheaper. Either way he’s not a long term solution and neither is smith or koskinen in Edmonton…. Maybe it buys them another year to figure things out. Wideman would be in the pressbox so he really doesn’t serve a purpose in the trade.
Nashville flat out passes. Petry isn’t needed. Sure at the top of his game petry is better then what we have at rhd. Problem is that petry has been flat out bad and I’ve got questions around his ability to actually perform as the true #1 rhd and not a 1b/2 rhd that he has been behind Shea Weber. With this being the first really year he’s having to shoulder the full load and failing spectacularly, I wouldn’t go near him. Hoffman isn’t a Hynes player asks wouldn’t fit with the team dynamic.
