Damn, that’s the 3rd time that the Oilers have won a game without McDavid or Draisaitl getting a point since this day (November 28th) in 2017. (And 12th time since McDavid made his NHL debut)

Man I know McDavid and Draisaitl are insanely talented, but like, they have been injured on occasion and nobody's gonna get a point every game. The fact that their team has only made up for that 3 times in 4 years is honestly pretty pathetic. Lots of pressure on them to hard carry the team.

His father’s Claude Lemieux I think so that’s not surprising, Claude Lemieux is a Habs legend but was known to be a super dirty player and would pass not the best comments to opposing players

Sources say Marc Bergevin was hurt by the news/rumours on Gorton & Mellanby. He had previously recommended Mellanby to replace him but was kept in the dark on any ongoing talks/négociations. Bergevin was made aware of the rumours through the media. He remains the GM as we speak.

I don't think it technically means there's an automatic suspension, but the offering of the in-person is necessary if the suspension is to be 6-games or longer.

So, theoretically, he could walk in there (not really 'cause zoom, but you know what I mean) plead his case and leave with nothing. But based on the viewings so far the DoPS could be thinking 6+ games. At least that's my understanding; could be wrong.

Things continue to develop in Montreal. All signs indicate Jeff Gorton will soon be heading up Hockey Operations for the Canadiens.
