I would still be surprised if Dube got any more than 1 game for this.... if any games at all.

Usually the NHL is lighter on these unintentional hits of poor positioning. Wilson hits this way because he wants to get the hit. Dube, although planning to hit, circumstances lead to it not being the right hit.

I realize you can say Fiala also didn't wish to hit Roy the way he did, but he had much more time to correct his positioning and prevent it than Dube did.

The Athletic is now reporting that the Rangers put him on waivers after an altercation between him and Georgiev after last night's game.

What I'm gathering from this is that DeAngelo's personal life is greatly affecting his ability to have a quality level of play, and he's been taking it out on teammates. Think the Rangers are just sick of it.



I'm not shocked there isn't a hearing. George Parros being the DoPS should be a stain on the NHL.

Wild players are dropping like flies in the last couple of days.

We all knew Deangelo was a cancer but for him to get in a fight with his goalie and someone punching him in the face for it is just too much and Deangelo is such an unlikeable person that it’s an obvious choice to waive him and the rangers have said “in 24 hours we’ll be able to be more specific and address the situation differently” which probably means if he doesn’t get claimed we’ll do something and also the rangers had Georgiev sit out practice for “maintenance”.

Also like the NFL, the NHL has a long history of suspension being a major wildcard and imo sports should adopt the way the IIHF does their suspension which is making the suspension more objective and less subjective by saying you did it suspension not well it wasn’t exactly his target and it wasn’t intentional, if he did it he did it.

HNIC guys universally called for no suspension. Does Dubé have a history of bad hits?

Just watched the highlights from the NYR/PIT game. Tony D couldn't have screened Georgiev better if he tried on the 2nd goal. Very poor defense. Can't help but think the high expectations for the Rangers coming into this season, coupled with Tony's off-ice issues have created a schism in the locker room. I just don't understand why they gave him such a lucrative contract, knowing that he was a ticking time bomb.

His arms were down and came up as he hit him, Wilson is suspended because he is a repeat offender, Dube isn’t. Kk is 6’3, Dube is 5’11, Dube shouldn’t be able to hit his head unless Kk had his head down

More stuff on Deangelo apparently there were concerns over his treatment of rookie K’Andre Miller which doesn’t surprise me too much with his history

I don't think it would surprise anyone if it's true. The comments from some of the players seem a bit weird if stuff like this was going on though.

This is likely what will happen (if its true). Only makes sense.

Basically after being waived a team could choose to terminate a player if they neglect or disobey the code of conduct per the team and breach that teams rules.

Id assume Deangleo is going to be without an NHL contract as soon as possible.
