I doubt if many if any media members are contributors to CapFriendly. Too much thought goes into many ACGMs posts. Maybe those media members just read the posts as this would be their research for their paid articles.

If Bowman listened to some Hawks fans on here, Dylan Strome would be a Golden Knight, Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook would be Panthers (traded together, mind you) and the Hawks would have signed Micheal Ferland, Ryan Dzingel, Derrick Brassard and Val Filppula. And those are just the ones I remember

It would be pathetic if there weren't media members and front office members on this and other large boards.

For the media members the tools here for understanding the cap are as good as they generally have access too. As well it behooves them to see what fans are thinking. This doesn't mean the media personalities themselves are on here (beyond checking cap space), but it would be shocking if they didn't have interns or the like on here.

In regards to front office's I would hope they have more sophisticated understandings of the cap (though I somewhat doubt it for many... cough cough Dave Poulin and Claude Loiselle cough cough), but again interns or the like should be on here getting information. The GMs and AGM's should have better things to do with their times, but an intern should be collecting info/thoughts from lots of places.

If the Leaf ownership had used CapFriendly (or it's equivalent) instead of the post Quinn era of Fletcher Burke and Nonis,,,,the Leafs wouldn't have wasted about 8 years. Never has so much money been wasted accomplishing so little.
