Team Canada
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Echlz</b></div><div>These wouldn't be the goalies... Hill would 100% be in over Thompson, he is Vegas clear starter and is leading the league in GAA and save %. Yes Jarry would be there, and probably Binnginton as a third. I don't understand why people say the goaltending is weak in Canada when the past two cup winners had Canadian goalies as starters, there is 5 Canadian goalies in the top 10 right now in GAA and Save %. As well as having a solid starter in Hill who dominated playoffs last year and so far, again this season. Sample size may not be a big as others but to have a playoff run like that and follow it up with this season is long enough and incredible.
No problems with the D and F besides missing Reinhart who would be a bubble guy to make it.</div></div>
Yeah Hill could be in the running for sure I think we just don't have top tier goalies, Russia and USA goalies are nuts, Finland has Sarros, I think it's a common talking point because we no longer have a clear starter, Roy, Brodeur, Luongo, Fleury etc

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caerii</b></div><div>Come on what? You lied about watching the games to try to win an online argument that you had no business entering in the first place because you don't actually watch the player in question play. Just like the other guys in this thread who googled Rossi's stat line but have no clue what's actually going on.</div></div>
Let's settle down a bit. I didn't lie about anything, I watched 3 out of the 5 games Rossi has played and I don't know where you're getting off as if he's the next Jack Hughes, but the dude is not that good.
You're one of those "the stats dont paint the whole picture!" homers, as if Rossi has done anything significant at the NHL level and just barely cracked the roster. Be for real, if the Wild didn't have 15m in dead cap, Rossi would be spending another year in the minors. The only reason he's actually playing is because he's still on a league min and the Wild desperately need him to pan out. He has 1 point in 5 games. Literally be for real.
Cope with it and move on. Don't project your eye test as legit. Rossi is not that guy.

No need to get rid of Kasty so soon. DJ loves him and he'll be better. If he were to get traded though, I'd bet Calgary would pay a 4th for him.

Parayko is worth nowhere near Chabot...
Not sure if Paryayko is a top 40 RD, definitely not 30.
Chabot is a top 15-20 RD

Tatar probably wouldn't have signed that contract with Ottawa. He's banking on doing what Rodrigues did by having a year on a great team to earn a payday next summer.

the pick can be conditional it doesn't matter
what matters is that the value is terrible for the Devils, who don't need a center that badly

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GhostGM92</b></div><div>Sure it's better for them but you think a team is going to take him with three years left on his contract and will only want a second? I wouldn't do it for a first which is why you have to take Fabbri too. Fabbri only has two years left and since I retained saves you almost a million in cap space for the next two years and then you're saving the amount Joseph is making in the third year.</div></div>
Joseph isnt bad , id keep him and move Brannstrom and bring up Kleven. No way they move a 1st just to get rid of Joseph

Rock the Peter Son
Not the worst package i've seen but depending on how Petey does next year they could get a bit more, and i'd imagine the Canucks might want a Dman. Though overall not an awful package. But if i was the Sens i wouldn't shop for Petey they already have a number 1C, Tim Stutzle looks legit and could be a 100 point player so putting him on the 2nd Center spot might hurt his production, and obviously you wouldn't trade for Pettersson then put him as your 2C.

Sens on pick lower
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hii</b></div><div>That's a hot take for a team that's gotten numerous NHLer's in the latter rounds and has some promising recent prospects that were drafted in the latter rounds with names such as:
Daoust (6th round),
Mandolese (6th round),
Meralainen (who was unranked but drafted in the third round)
Kleven (2nd round),
Pinto (2nd round),
Guenette (7th round),
Kastelic (5th round),
Formenton (2nd round),
Batherson (4th round),
Donovan (5th round),
plus so many more NHLer's. If you're not convinced look through their drafting history and look at all the names that you recognize. Btw, all these names were drafted after 2016. Also in the 2015 draft they got Chabot, White, Wolanin, Jaros, Chaplik, and Daccord who all played NHL games.</div></div>
Of these, the only notable players are Chabot, Batherson, and Pinto.
Everyone else is replacement level lmao.

Don't disagree - this was more to show how much flexibility they will have during their prime years. Not many contending teams can just add $9M without having to do cap gymnastics.

They didn't sign Hamonic for him to play in Belleville. He's fine on the third pair and we'll need him for the PK. Greig will most likely play most of the year in Ottawa, but he may not start on the roster if no one else is moved. They'll try to put Joseph in a good spot playing with 2 good top 9 forwards, and probably won't want Greig playing 4LW. Once they get into a few games into the season, there won't ever be a point where there isn't at least one forward injured. He'll get his time
