Tatar probably wouldn't have signed that contract with Ottawa. He's banking on doing what Rodrigues did by having a year on a great team to earn a payday next summer.

At the end of the day, I think the point that is made is Dorion shouldn't have signed Tarasenko without signing Pinto first..

I'd be more concerned with all the lottery picks being traded away to still finish 6th every year.

Signing Korpisalo to THAT contract was the bigger mistake

hes gonna be 34 next year hes not getting a payday. Hes chasing a chance at a cup, which is smart, but its not like he could get a 3x5.5 mil deal or whatever. Maybe 1x4 if he goes off

Someone's angry... Anyway, Dorion has screwed up so many trades but here are some notables ones:

    Duchene trade
    Zibby trade
    Gus trade
    ADB x2 trades
    Stone trade

It was funny watching Sens fans try to defend Dorion when this offseason started.

wasn't meant to be a trade but just show how the Sens would be in much better shape if they signed Tatar instead of Tarasenko

Had to decide between Korpisalo and Tarasenko OR signing Tarasenko means that he'd flip Kubalik right away. He could still do this but if not, it doesn't make sense

It could but at least that one could work out. I wanted him to go after a cheaper goalie instead (like Brossoit) and was not very happy with the signing but then I saw that Korpi's hip surgery was only in March 2022, so he has been good since.

Not that many defend him, maybe 10%? (I visit a forum with hundred of Sens fans and not many are). I have probably been his biggest critic since that horrible offseason before the 2020-21 season
