he might actually want to play there too unlike WPG and CBJ.

But I don't see them getting a 1st for a guy on players assistance.

I would also take Laine but at that cost might be too much if there was a retention of 1 mill or the addition of a 3rd or taking off Armia it could work.

That's a fair price for Fehérváry but he's too valuable to the caps to move at this point. Have to decline.

Even if they were trading Fehervary (they're not) I think you would look immediately to the Romanov deal as a comp which returned a much better pick

Columbus isn't going to trade Laine when his value is this low.

That's an easy pass for the caps. They have no need to move him for a late first. If it were a top 12 pick they might consider it, but Fehervary fits the window they want to be competitive in - now until Ovi is done. That first rounder probably doesn't make an impact until after Ovi retires.

If only Laine played more then 50 games a season, it'd be pretty interesting. A line of him, Slaf, and Dach (all above 6'4) would be very different then the habs of a decade ago where it seemed like every forward was below 5'10 lol

That Laine trade is a no for the Jackets. That package doesn't get you a top-line near-PPG scoring winger, and that's how Laine is going to be valued - we're under no pressure or obligation to move him. We're just fine on the wings; the big needs are a goaltender to step up and an experienced shutdown defenseman.

(Also, WTF is with folks putting Voronkov on the wing?)

Signing Teravainen is an interesting choice--I could get behind that, but that feels like a lot to tie up into a middle-six wing.

As others have said, no reason to move Laine now, and therefore no Fehervary trade is possible either.

Boqvist is not worth that much.

He’s gone out of his way to say he likes it better in Columbus than Winnipeg. But I’m sure you are right even though you have zero evidence to support your claim. Go back to posts saying how rakell is the best winger in the league

I know so many players who are traded to a new team and they are just like.... Oh yeah, I hate it here.

FFS, he's on the players assistance program....... It's not because he's happy in CBJ.

Oh yeah wow you must be friends with him if you know so much inside info on him. I’m sure him being in the players assistance program has nothing to do with his dad passing away recently. It’s definitely more likely he went into the program because he hates Columbus lol. Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds

plenty of players have lost their parents and didn't miss basically a whole season.

You are over here just rambling at this point. Oh yeah player said such and such so it must be true.......
Like it's not just standard answer.

Do you realize how ridiculous you sound? If a guy was happy on a team, he'd have made it back. But he's not. He's on a rebuilding team, in the middle of nowhere, in a very undesirable place.
Get over that.
That just isn't where he wants to be.
If he was actually happy where he was, like many players who went through loss before him, he'd have been back on the ice doing what they loved.
But he clearly isn't loving it there.

Middle of nowhere? Undesirable place? What are you talking about? Clearly you’ve never been to Columbus lol. You add nothing of value and just constantly speculate and wildly overvalue your own players. Have a nice day

Also hating your team isn't a condition to get into the player assistance program. Its based on mental and behavior health issues (ie substance abuse) and required union physicians to accept the claim. Remember Texier wanted to come back last season but the union said no. If Laine was truly unhappy then the two parties would meet for a mutual termination agreement but obviously that's not the case.

I'm pretty sure between the two of us, one of us has never been to columbus, and it isn't me.
You might want to check your reality there, it's not exactly the most desired place to be. That's why both BOB and Panarin darted the hell out of there when they could and the team fell apart when they left.

Maybe come down from the pedestal.
No one is speculating anything here. Most CBJ fans are honest about things, like the fact Laine is not going to resign there. I'm sure there is probably a 90%+ agreement on that in CBJ fans, It wouldn't be that way if people though he was happy there and wanted to play there.

Yeah that was my point. That clown was suggesting he went into the program cause he hates living in Columbus. I’m not even going to speculate why laine is in the program but that’s for sure not the reason. He’s never asked to be traded either.

Bob was never offered a contract. No way the jackets would’ve offered him 10 million a year lol. Panarins girlfriend wanted to live in NYC to continue her modeling career. You’re a fan of the Pens lol. Have you been to Pittsburgh? Last place that should be talking about how bad another city is lol.

1st off, bob was offered a contract, he did not accept it and darted out the door. CBJ tried to keep him. That is a well known fact.
CBJ also tried to keep panarin... same result, you can put it off however you want.

Nor have I ever said PIT was a better city. Matter of fact I'm on record here saying the draw for players in the past to come to PIT was the team that was already there. Much like EDM is a draw because you got McDavid and Drai. That time is done in PIT.

But you are so hell bent on trying to think some us vs them bs.
Mean while I'm just stating facts and realities.
Much like I've said there is no reason for Reinhart to sign in PIT when people post those acgm. Or that signing Teräväinen is probably easier said than done for the penguins even though he's probably their best option at 1LW. Because what reason does he have to go there.... none.

But dude keep preaching to the choir.
Like I've said here come down off the pedestal into reality.
