LA isn't retaining on PLD. Especially not if they are taking back Anderson and Dvorak.

Just to add, it's better for the Kings to buy out PLD for 14 years at an average of 2m per year. If no retention, yeah the Kings might do the trade.

I am going to start reporting all Zegras and PLD trades. I don't care if other trades on the Armchair board.

This is getting ridiculous! Neither Kings (specifically Rob Blake) or Ducks have intentions of trading EITHER player!

Neither player interests the Ducks very much, so I doubt that they pull the trigger on that offer.

The new regime in Arizona isn't trading away their first top-10 pick in their reign for a third-pairing defenseman, a drop of 20 places in the draft and a future shot in the dark which is more likely to be Florida's pick than Calgary's.

Los Angeles isn't retaining on Pierre-Luc DuBois. However bad you (or we) may think that the DuBois contract is, selling it while retaining on it makes it worse, not better, unless the return is decent, not $h!t.

Well... Retaining on him would be A LOT shorter than buying him out. So that's a possible plus.. But yeah, they still aren't retaining and taking a bunch of even more useless cap back. Also, If I were LA and I were even considering moving him with or without retention, I would rather pay for it with assets than take cap back.

Edit: This would also likely be the end of Blakes job.

Utah much rather stay put or move up than trade out, trading picks would want to be a homerun swing, extra picks doesn’t swing it either, with all ready having more picks than future roster spots. Why would you want to add zegras/dubois to an all ready questionable Caufield off ice issues. Kane wasn’t available? Guhle or Barron for a pick or two possibly, ever want to ship Suzuki give Utah a call

So I was really interested to see what Zegras could do overseas with team USA potentially playing with Caufield. So far he has 1G 1A and is -5... not looking good. I wouldn't trade a top 10 pick for him at this point let alone 5th overall plus Barron and Farrell. Why wouldn't you just take the cap from Zegras and get Toffoli or Monahan back in MTL instead?

There is no way Utah would trade 6th overall for that return. The conditions on the Calgary pick make it almost certain that it will not be a top 10 pick if that's what you are thinking.

LA would never consider this trade.

Utah and LA trades are delusional. Obviously that's not enough for #7 and you can't ask for retention on Dubious while also giving them 2 horrible contracts back
