TBH - habs are gonna stick to Slaf for now... he's finally showing the skills we drafted him for in the big league. If he puts it all together (finally got his shot calibrated yesterday), he's gonna be a menace in 2-3 years.

For either it would likely be a pick or prospect that would be valued around a 1st OA pick, as neither team is interested in moving their guy. And Calgary doesn't have that.

If our pick is in the top 5 at the draft, that'd be a start, then which ever one of ours or Florida's pick we get next year. Then probably Coronato or Honzek. And that still might not be enough.

I know it is unlikely either team would do the trade, but as far as value goes it might be; Zary + Coronato + "something else"....again, though, really tough to figure out and extremely unlikely.

Although the NHL is a business and for that reason I don’t believe anyone is truly untouchable, I would say Slaf is as close as it gets to untouchable for Montreal.
