Thinking PLD costs Byfield to dump then turning around and trading Kampf for positive value. Typical Leafs fan ACGM

Half of one season of PLD not playing to his potential is not worth giving up QB. If this continues for like 4yrs then MAYBE but its time to give up an assets like QB to get rid of the contract but not 38 games into a contract lol

When the Kings signed Moore Kempe Roy and pretty much every player on their roster they didn't sign them for what they were at the time but what the were turning into. Besides maybe Doughty Kopi and Quick every other player grew into their contract.

Sometimes a fit just isn't there between a player and a team. But I agree that patience is the best course of action.

Hawks easily decline. They wouldn't take Kampf back if that 3rd was going to them along w/ Kampf. They definitely aren't paying anything for him

Almost nothing here is close to realistic.

LA is not going to move Byfield to get out of PLD's contract. Chicago would ask you to pay them to take on Kampf, Montreal isn't going to want to take on Jarnkrok's contract right now and, depending on when this happens in the offseason, PLD, Kampf and Jarnkrok have trade protection. Toronto would also be capped out with a 20 man roster that requires a number of guys to take very generous contracts.

Kampf and Jarnkrok are easily movable. With the cap going up their contracts look even better. Leafs just need to save money at those bottom six spots. They are luxuries the Leafs can't afford. But they can be traded for picks because they are good vets who are not defensive liabilities. Coaches of younger rebuilding teams would love them on their teams.

On the PLD trade… That would be like saying dumping Jones would cost Bedard.

    On the Chicago trade, no.

Jones is not as bad as PLD has been. And Byfield isn't as good as Bedard. It's a flawed analogy.

Huh? Why would the Kings give up Byfield to pay for dumping PLD? There has to be more interest in PLD than that. I know he isn't having a great season, but he isn't far removed from some very high end play. Plus, Byfield is still worth a ton. If that is the case, I'd have to think CHI would be willing to take both off LA's hands. haha

    CHI isn't taking Kampf, though.

Went right over my head. As Poe's Law states, I was so appalled by this that it didn't even register that it could possibly be sarcasm. lol
