Horrible take. Garland is having one down year points wise, partly due to bad shooting luck, but is still a very good play driver and good defensively. The previous 2 seasons prior to this he played at a very high level, especially at 5v5. He was a 5M caliber the last two seasons and I believe he’ll get back to that level

This has been by far Garlands best year as a Canuck. Points aren't coming but he is far more effective than he has been in previous years and has accepted a role.

I think his first year you could argue he was better, but he’s definitely been playing great this year despite his point totals being down. But whatever line he’s been put on has definitely been consistently good this season
