Defense definitely improved a lot. Myers may not even be here by the time the season starts. Garland may get traded who knows. Forward core remains kind of the same but scoring was not really a problem. Blueger, Cole, Soucy +healthy Mikheyev are all excellent additions to our PK. A whole season of Hronek gives us our best RHD in a long time. Can’t wait for my hopes to be crushed by a 7 game losing streak to start the year

Hughes - Cole seems like a nightmare pairing. I think Hughes - Hronek, Soucy - Cole would do a little better.

Cole was statistically one of the best defensive d men in the league playing 19 minutes a night on the Tampa Bay Lightning. His defense analytics were better than Soucy who didn’t play as many minutes as Cole. Hughes has also shown to be able to carry whatever pairing he gets. I think Soucy is a good partner for Hronek. They are pretty interchanagable though. Both Hughes and Hronek can drive a pair. Spread the offensive wealth and pair each with a sturdy defensive defenseman
