Also, Tempe residents will vote on whether to approve measures related to the Coyotes new arena next Tuesday. If it fails, it pretty much guarantees that the Coyotes time in Phoenix is over.

Bettman is employed because owners have sensitive feelings and want a scapegoat. Anyone shows backbone and is actually good gets ousted immediately

Well the only thing would be if Bedard doesnt adapt to the NHL and becomes Yakupov 2.0

At the same time I have met the kid so I dont wish that. Was a nice guy

But yea seems full circle thing shouldnt have been completed based on all the past stuff. But it is what it is.

I know that's the general idea behind the draft lottery, but it's supposed to be about on-ice performance, not a salve for cultural and managerial missteps.
What better way to compensate for poor decisions and reputation than to grab the next phenom to paper over it and bring a positive spin to a spiraling franchise?


If your complaining about the Blackhawks being incompetent then by that logic the Canucks, sharks, coyotes etc. don’t deserve him either

Bettman is an effective political animal and knows how to tie things off, and keep the dirt off his own shoes, like he did in Chicago. The owners love him because the league is prospering financially beyond anyone's expectations.

I said "feels like". It's more akin to rewarding negligence.
I also put Arizona in a similar tier. Both organizations are being poorly managed and have reputation issues (for completely different reasons).
Bad contracts and on ice performance are part of hockey.
Abuse is not.

Based on @justaboss list, I'd rather Michkov, Leonard, and maybe even Reinbacher over Dvorsky.
We do not need another center. Look at this as a potentially future lineup:

I mean I guarantee he was hyped about that. Would probably be his favourite moment if he attended in person. Also I am not obligated to hate Chicago. Somehow the Canucks got a bigger punishment today from having players practice in the offseason than the Hawks did for their shenanigans
