I doubt that the Kings would trade Sean Walker for less than a 2023 third, especially given the intra-divisional aspect of the exchange.

You could argue RD is ANAs biggest need, Helleson obviously isnt untouchable but it doesnt make much, if any sense for the Ducks to move him

I don't think they trade him this year but he'd be a sensible target for Vancouver this summer. He's clearly RD3 behind McAvoy & Carlo, but definitely due a raise if he keeps it up the rest of the season. I think he prices himself out of Boston and Vancouver could get him for something like 3x$3.5M.

Most teams are going to have little reason to trade RD on ELC (or on their reserve) for a pick. Probably would be better off targeting a guy who is heading into his first RFA deal and isn’t getting regular minutes. Or a guy who is 7/8 man on a larger salary.

For the Devils, the best options would be Reilly Walsh and Case McCarthy, who isn’t sexy, but good defensively and has earned his keep by being the stay-at-home half of pairings with offensive LD (Cam York, David Farrance, Dom Fensore, and now Lane Hutson).

Viktor Hurtig could be an option too.

Leafs would want more for Niemela. No reason to trade him for a 2nd right now. He is an A- RD prospect. If they trade him it would be for a guy that can help them right now. Which I am very interested in 1 or all 3 of Horvat, Kuzmenko and Schenn from Vancouver. I can definitely see the world where Vancouver and Toronto make a big trade this year and Niemela + goes the other way. But a 2nd round pick for Niemela wouldn't be it.

Hawks wouldn't give up Regula for a mid round pick; he's looked good so far and developing nicely; he's a part of the rebuild so not letting him go unless it's an overpay

Honestly, I feel like the exercise of trying to tie a recently drafted player with an ELC to a draft pick is kind of futile. There's no real reason that a team would be moving them for picks.

Some of these guys *might* be available individually or in a package for an upgrade somewhere (ie. A Bo trade), but the amount of u-22 players that get traded for picks is extremely low. Teams draft them and develop them. If development fails (ie. Lias Andersson), then they might get moved just for the sake of moving them, but a quick gander through the list above (I might have missed someone...) doesn't show anyone like that.

I don't wanna offend you cause I'm genuinely curious, what makes Niemela an A- prospect. 7 points in his D+3 season in Liiga isn't really super special.

Only way I see NJD trading Casey or Mukhamadullin is if they are used in a trade for an established young player that can help Devils this year and next few years.

Reilly Walsh is the most likely RD moved off our roster between now and start of 2023-24.

Yeah highly doubt Anaheim deal Helleson for anything less than an astronomical deal coming back since we traded Josh Manson for him hoping that’s about what he turns into for the future

Keane could probably be had for a 3rd, and Coghlan is unlikely to be moved, unless a league min 3LD is coming back. As for Heimosalmi, I can’t see him getting moved, as he is looking like he might be a long term Pesce replacement.
