Barron might be interesting, not sure about Struble. I would just do Portillo + Laaksonen for Barron.

Buffalo accepts
This is a bad year for D prospects in the draft. Think there's 1 rated in the top 15. This trade could help build up a huge weak spot in are organization.

You can't really think Detroit is going to give up their goalie of the future for Edmundson. He's almost 30 and Detroit isn't even a playoff team yet. Honestly Detroit really doesn't need Edmundson maybe if it is a 1 for 1 with Chiarot.

avs are not trading a 1st for Monahan and they for sure are not sending any prospect of note, specially a goalie either.
None of t these teams are going to be giving up goalie prospects

IMO unless he doesnt want to sign to go pro with the Sabres, you keep your notable goalie prospects if there are spots for them to play.
Goalies are voodoo, you never know who will emerge to the NHL level.

Luukkonen and Levi should be the future tandem, but until they are there and established, you just never know.

the Leafs deciding Justin Pogge was their goalie of the future and tuukka rask trade should a learning lesson for every GM

Very true, but the Sabres have another one they drafted last year. They are dealing from a area of strength to shore up a weak point in the Organization

I'm not sure if Portillo will sign, plus we need young RDs, our pipeline is empty there's hardly any depth at all. Barron already plays in the AHL, he's close. We have to play with Fitzgerald in a lineup that looks terrible even after 10 minutes of play.

Yeah I noticed that. His rights expire in 2026 so you have lots of time with him

If there is other reasons at play like has to be in the echl once pro bc there is a log jam or if they don’t want to sign. Sure

If there are spots in a desire to sign, you can’t have too many bullets in the goalie development gun

No freaking way Detroit's trading Sebastian Cossa for an aging Joel Edmundson.

That's like us trading David Perron for Cole Caufield, Kent Hughes would laugh at that offer.

Only Kapanen has a future but Perreault > Kapanen

Norlinder looks like a dime-a-dozen defense prospect of which the Ducks have plenty. Tourigny is a smurf and the Ducks already have Zellweger and Drysdale filling up our quota of smaller defensemen.

Regardless of anything else about the forwards Perreault is two years older and two years closer to the NHL (if he makes it). The Ducks don't need another 18-yr old prospect. I'd also say Gaucher is >> Kapanen.

The proposed trade just doesn't do anything for the Ducks.

If you want to look at Florida to potentially target Kirill Gerasimyuk. He's got great stats in the MHL and VHL, and could be someone Florida looks to deal as a position of strength, Though I'll preface, there isn't a whole lot in Montreal that I would expect Florida to want.
