All this shows is that the Leafs are an L team, who just lets three of their guys get beat up by the entire other team like that smh bring back bench-clearing line brawls

I'd argue that what Drai did in the playoffs was more impressive, the man set the record for the most points in a 5 game series on 1 leg

I agree, personally I'd throw Leon in Tier 1A as well, but I think Mcdavids "rhythm" is what set him aside. I mean the pace and flow he provided the Oilers with his play. He just a defib, he brings life to the team and a fire. Leon is special, but Connor is king.

Well hopefully he sits out. I want him to get just enough to guarantee Kerfoot is out for nothing

laugh laugh Kerfoot would instantly become top line forward in Ottawa, and Dorion will be paying a first round pick for him

I think at this point signs point to Holl being the odd man out. For me this holdout has always been about ice time and fit within the lineup not money or term.

laugh laugh Kerfoot would never waive for Ottawa. He grew up 15 mins from Detroit . Yzerman will bring him home with compensation. Most likely a 1st round pick to take him on

Why not? If this is all about fit and a roll, why not roll the dice and get yourself a bigger pay day next year. All it takes is one injury (hello Muzzin) and there is his ice time.

I suppose our 4th line centre role is open, kind of expensive though

Everyone else did some hot takes, so I might as well jump on the bandwagon.

- Arthur Kaliyev has an amazing breakout year, pots 30 goals and 60 points on a line with Danault and Moore.
- Ilya Samsonov puts up a .900 save percentage, then grabs 2 playoff shutouts leading the Leafs past the first round, then gets dropped to FA anyway.
- The Penguins fall hard and finish behind the Flyers in the Metro, the Devils and Blue Jackets battle it out for the final wild card spot.
- The Jets ride the backs of Hellebuyck and Dubois to a shocking Wild Card, then get immediately swept. Dillon and Schmidt enjoy bounce-back years.
- Seattle makes the playoffs for the first time, Grubauer receives Vezina votes in amazing bounce-back campaign.
- Chicago finishes last in the league, then drops to 3rd in the lottery behind Arizona and Detroit.
- Detroit finishes last in the Atlantic, Husso and Nedjelkovic finish with abysmal sub .895 save percentages.

If Sammy does all that Leafs will make sure to keep him either by trading out Muzzin or Murray (unless he factors into any cup run which could happen like we saw with Penguins). As he's still very young and if all goes well would be the Leafs starter from here on out

DJSmith already said Sanderson is starting LD, TSN1200 said this morning it’s just for the tourney.
