In the 40-year span from 1978 to 2017, only four players selected first or second in the NHL draft have not appeared in a playoff game.

Florida's Sam Reinhart will graduate from that list this year.

Jack Eichel will not.

Nail Yakupov and Patrik Stefan are the two others.

I know Tampa won back to back but so did Pittsburgh and they lost to Washington after the second cup.

Its the playoffs and when you got 2 strong teams going at it, it's anyone's game. If we doubt then we're playing right into Tampa's hands


If the leafs themselves are doubting, then of course they setting themselves up to lose. For a couple of us random people online with no real affiliation to the leafs, it doesn’t matter what we think, even remotely. Who wins is completely out of our hands, no matter how much we believe in them. I believe in God but I certainly don’t believe he cares who wins the cup lol. It’s between the leafs and the lightning.
