Emil Bemstrom probably fits the bill, Caufield would've until MSL got hired

Is Matthews better than McDavid at this point? McDavid barely has the edge in offensive production by around 0.1P/GP but Matthews scores more goals and has more primary points per game, plus on defense its no question that Matthews is superior

So far this season, I'd say yes - but I'm somewhat intrigued by how McDavid will perform in a better even-strength system without Tippett.

Nah, McDavid is still the best in the world no question, his defence is trash but no one cares about his defence when he's putting up 150+ points in a season

Obviously a stretch (as it wasn't a big fall) - Eklund at 7 was a steal for the San Jose Sharks; and I’d argue so was Ben Gaudreau.

2021 was an underrated class. I’m really excited to see the results from it; too many people (and I did at points in 2020) knocked the class but I think it’s gonna be a great draft class to watch.

So Robertson's been called up and is going to play against Detroit. Would honestly have preferred to just keep him down in the minors so the poor kid could get some f*cking consistent development for a bit, but it'll be nice to see him up. I swear to God though, if he's stuck on the 4th line with Spezza and Simmonds like he has been every other time, I'm going to lose it. Zero purpose in calling him up if that's how you're going to use him.

They brought him up cause there is a (non-covid) illnees running through the leafs

Also robertson just came off an injury. Dont want him re-hurting himself. One game on the 4th line wont hurt and he gets to be with Spezza. Whats more to ask for as who doesnt want to play with Spezza lul

He will probs be on PP unit 2 over Mikheyev and if he impresses enough Keefe will move him up the lineup. But rn he has to earn a bigger better spot on the leafs. Its not just gonna be heres top 6 enjoy.

It varies. Usually those type of players end up being bottom 6 forwards at their best while others likely don't make the NHL

Recent Years

(21) Cedric Desruisseaux ECHL .3 PPG Year One
(21) Alex Khovanov ECHL .25 PPG Year One
(22) Felix Robert ECHL .6 PPG Year one, .5 AHL PPG Year 2
(23) Vitali Abramov AHL .45 PPG Year one, AHL .9 PPG Year 2, AHL .95 PPG Year 3, KHL Year 4
(24) Daniel Sprong AHL 1 PPG Year One, NHL 47GP 19P Year 2, 71 GP 22 P in NHL career thus far
(25) Conor Garland AHL .25 PPG Year One, AHL .5 PPG Year 2, NHL .6 PPG Year 3, 77 GP 48P thus far

You're likely looking at either a very good AHL player/bottom 6 forward

On the best team in the league which is a negative, I'll admit I haven't watched him play IRL this year (I'm a season ticket holder with the Mooseheads but didn't buy tickets this year because of Covid). I remember watching Garland and how crazy good he was. He could walk through 3 or 4 guys multiple times a night and make it look easy, wasn't affected much because of his height and was actually somehow quite physical.

According to HabsEyeOnThePrize, they state "On the ice, he plays bigger than his size. He is a competitor, and a tenacious forechecker. In the last two years, he has focused less on the ability to agitate the opponent, but at the pro level he will not be a top-six player, so he will have to channel that part of his game again. His work ethic allows him to be a top penalty-killer, as he is not afraid to step in front of shots." This leads me to believe he isn't the driver of the offense on his team, he's a just a product of the system.

I think the sabres player could also be Ollofson, Dahlins just developing IMO. His ability to log minutes has increased he's still putting up a lot of points on a bad team and he is now playing PK and while he's not the best defensive dman right now he, he definitely improving. Dahlin is probably a top 10/5 puck moving Dman though.

4-point night for Joshua Roy. He now has 71 points in 37 QMJHL games as an 18 year-old.

He's starting to look like the guy he was projected to be when he was drafted #1 overall in the QMJHL draft.
